WEEKEND WORKSHOP:
Sports Massage

July 12 & 13, Saturday - 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. & Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Instructor: T. Ramberg, LMP
Prerequisite: LMP/LMT
$180.00 / 9 CEU

Sports massage utilizes specific deep tissue techniques and trigger point therapy.  These techniques along with range of motion and stretching routines enable clients to maximize performance in their chosen physical activity.  Sports massage accelerates the healing process, increases range of motion, reduces swelling and bruising, while alleviating muscle pain and tension.  In this class students learn to identify and treat common musculoskeletal injuries, and help prevent future muscle dysfunction.  Students are taught techniques to isolate areas of muscular stress that result from repetitive stress activities and are typically precursors to injury. We will also cover the benefits pf pre-and-post event stretching and muscle work while using useful techniques to increase a client’s level of performance.
